YE OLDE HOME PLACE, SHAMROCK, TX

Ye Olde Home place was built in 1904 of wood frame. In 1933, Amarillo architects Berry and Hatch remodeled and enlarged to reflect the art deco period. The exterior was redesigned and the home was enlarged to 5, 000 square feet. The home was built as a showplace and the interior cornices, arches, ceilings, lighting fixtures, and the walnut staircase have been carefully preserved.

Marian Clark and Anaruth Pendleton.

Anaruth and her staff offered a warm greeting, served a full Texas-style breakfast, shared the terraced garden and would direct you to area quarter horse raches or other Panhandle points of interest.

Today, Anaruth runs the B&B by herself.
